Calder Cottage is currently closed while we carry out some improvements.

To ensure these works don’t disturb our other guests, it is temporarily unavailable. The cottage will reopen towards the end of 2026, refreshed and even better than before.

Is there parking?

Yes we have ample free and secure off street parking. If you plan to bring more than one vehicle it's always best to let us know so we can ensure there is enough space for you and other guests. Our main gates are automated with number plate recognition so don't forget to provide us with your number plate shortly before your stay.

If your car is electric, you can take advantage of our Voltshare EV Charging Point.

Simply search 'Voltshare' on IOS on Android to download the Voltshare App.

Are the cottages suitable for wheelchair users or for guests with mobility issues?

Hodder and Ribble Cottage are narrow wheelchair accessible with double bi-fold doors and double walk in showers. Our wardrobes and drawers are low enough for assisted seating and we can provide a shower seat and moveable grab rails upon request.

As there are no stairs to navigate and have an open plan design, both cottages are suitable for wheelchair users.

Can I check-in earlier or check-out later?

We are always keen to ensure the cottage is ready for your stay so we ask guests to check in no earlier than 3pm on the day of arrival and to check out no later than 11am on the day of departure.

You are more than welcome to arrive earlier or stay later providing we don’t have anyone leaving or joining us either side of your booking. Feel free to check a few days before you arrive and we will do all we can to accommodate you.

Do you allow pets?

We love pets of all kinds, brilliantly behaved or otherwise! As much as we would love to welcome your furry friends and family members across all of our cottages we reserve some pet free space for anyone with allergies or less keen.

Ribble Cottage and The Lodge are dog friendly (maximum 2 x dogs) for an additional fee of £10 per dog per night.

Sadly we do not allow pets, even the cutest, in Hodder Cottage.
