WHAT OUR GUESTS SAY

We have just returned from our stay in Ribble Cottage. It is one of those little gems of a place you want to keep all to yourself because it is wonderful. Set in a private garden it is so beautiful. Ribble Cottage has everything you could ever wish for. Lovely little touches; fresh flowers, fresh milk and orange juice, lovely patio with furniture, very well kept garden with water feature, little summer house with BBQ and table and chairs. The cottage is spacious with the most up to date fabulous kitchen and bedrooms (both en-suite) with gorgeous, beautiful white bedding, fluffy pillows and towels also included white soft bathrobes.
These cottages are 5*. Anna and Ian could not do enough for you. With ample parking, they are private and enclosed with electric gates.
We were next door to two families with a young girl, three toddlers and a baby and the only time we heard anything from them was when they were going out for the day. Sound proofing in the cottage is superb. We will be definitely be returning.
Thank you so much Anna and Ian for a wonderful stay.

WHAT OUR GUESTS SAY

We had a splendid time staying at Hodder Cottage! Three mums, four children and a baby= chaos, noise, craziness and a lot of FUN! The location is quiet in gorgeous surroundings, perfect for enjoying your morning coffee in the peace (the summer house was ideal for this). The property is stunning with all the amenities you could wish for! Everything was super clean and to a high quality with up to date technology/ appliances. The hosts were very hospitable and provided us with extra toys/paddling pool etc to ensure the children were kept busy and had lots of fun! They really did help us with anything we needed! Using the zip line on the field and meeting the Alpacas was an extra special treat which we all loved! Thank you to the hosts! Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends! Would be perfect for 2 families to stay next to each other in the other cottage. Thank you so much!

WHAT OUR GUESTS SAY

We had a wonderful multi-generational stay in Hodder Cottage with our family. The accommodation was superb; spotlessly clean, extremely well-equipped and maintained, including a lovely outside seating area and garden. Very beautiful and peaceful location. The owners and manager were exceedingly helpful and even provided age-appropriate equipment and toys for our baby grandson. Lots of lovely extra touches including welcome pack and supplies. Would wholeheartedly recommend.

WHAT OUR GUESTS SAY

Ribble Cottage in the Ribble Valley was highly recommended by friends who regularly stay. The cottage is exceptionally clean and comfortable. The location is well placed for walks from the doorstep to Deanclough reservoir including Clitheroe Castle and Holmes Mill where delicious food & drink await. A drive through the Trough of Bowland is so picturesque plus an icecream in the pretty village of Downham.
Howarth and the Bronte Parsonage offers walks on the moors, steam railway and independent shops.
So much to see and explore. Looking forward to returning.

WHAT OUR GUESTS SAY

We absolutely loved staying at Ribble cottage. We stayed for 3 weeks where Anna, Graham and Ian were excellent hosts - providing the perfect balance of privacy and space but always there if we needed. Anna welcomed our children and made their holiday extra special with a huge box of toys for them to enjoy whilst at the cottage - this was greatly appreciated, thank you.
The cottage was immaculate and had everything we could need. The grounds are stunning and nestled in the countryside.
We will definitely be staying at Oakdean Cottages again.
Thank you so much x

WHAT OUR GUESTS SAY

A wonderful cottage, extremely clean & modern, set in beautiful well kept grounds. No noise from cars etc, quiet & peaceful, a stunning garden surrounded by mature trees & lots of wildlife. A credit to the manager Anna who is very pleasant & helpful. The cottage is in a beautiful area with the most breathtaking views from the entrance road. Nearby pretty villages, most have fantastic pubs who serve excellent food, you really are spoilt for choice in this regard. Northcote Manor Michelin star restaurant is less than a mile away. The Rum Fox at Grindleton is worth a mention, fantastic food & service. I would highly recommend staying at Oakdean cottages if you appreciate high standards in a holiday home, a quiet beautiful location, a very pleasant owner who is very responsive if needed & a truly breathtaking area in the Ribble valley. Clitheroe town is 15 minutes away for all your grocery needs. Many pretty villages all within easy driving distance. Great area for walkers or foodies. Ribble cottage was perfect for us, we will return.

Thank you again for a wonderful stay. This is our second time staying in Calder Cottage with our dog and it’s really like home from home for us. We stayed for three nights and didn’t want to leave, it’s such a gorgeous comfortable place. So quiet and peaceful and well equipped. Ian came to see us when we arrived and left - such a nice guy. We will definitely be back and can’t wait to see the fantastic views from the garden over the Ribble valley.

WHAT OUR GUESTS SAY

We have stayed at this venue numerous times over the years and absolutely love it. The cottages are warm and have everything you need and spotlessly clean. The location is perfect for eating out at the number of gastropubs nearby. It is well positioned to drive to Manchester for football and shopping. Also ideal for driving into Whalley and Clitheroe. The owners are always delighted to help especially if you have forgotten something. We will definitely be returning.

WHAT OUR GUESTS SAY

We came to the area to see our grandchildren. We stayed in Calder Cottage which is a comfortable cosy cottage enjoying all the amenities that you want in a holiday cottage. It is in a beautiful setting with lots of countryside to explore and places to see. The owners are very friendly and welcoming but not intrusive. The weather could have been kinder but we still got out and about. We have stayed in many holiday cottages with our dogs and this cottage is up there with the best. We plan to visit again.
