Gorgeous Place
Absolutely lovely cottage. Bright, modern and spacious, with everything you could need. Ian, Sue and Anna were so kind and welcoming. The countryside setting is beautiful and the fact that it’s a gated development makes it feel very secure. Hodder Cottage made the perfect base for a few days seeing family and friends over Easter - we will definitely be back next time we’re up North!

Stay In Calder
Our 5th stay in the perfectly designed and decorated Calder Cottage. Never failed to have a relaxing and uninterrupted break. Truly a home from home. In its own grounds with security gates, perfect peace of mind for young families. Enclosed by trees and with strategically placed hedges provides necessary privacy. Oh, and the sunsets dancing through the trees are superb.

Outstanding
Perfect in every way. The properties are immaculately clean and beautifully furnished. The kitchen equipment is first class with a slow cooker and even a blender in Hodder cottage. The grounds are beautiful and there is a real feeling of tranquility. It's lovely to be able to walk from the property rather than have to drive anywhere for a walk and the nearby alpacas are a real draw for us. The owners are so friendly and helpful but in no way obtrusive. Our third visit and we are planning our next. Thanks to everyone at Oakdean for providing a haven for us.

Lovely Home
We booked the cottage for a course we were doing in Whalley. Ideal location, you are near Whalley but far enough away to feel that you are in the countryside having a holiday too. The ducks and hens next door were a bonus. Listening to them is very calming.
Hodder cottage is very comfortable with every convenience, so it feels like a home away from home.
We will be back in Whalley a few more times this year, so I hope that the cottage is available for our next visit.

Wonderful Base
We found Hodder cottage to be spacious, impeccably clean, and very comfortable. The thoughtfully planned and well equipped accommodation would suit the needs of any group looking for a base for gatherings in the area.
The location was attractive, rural and very peaceful but within easy reach of all amenities and our hosts were welcoming and informative. We are looking forward to future visits.

Home From Home
We booked Hodder Cottage for a friends reunion. It was perfect in every way, so much so that my friend (who is hoping to move house soon) commented that “I could live here”. I can’t think of a better compliment! The place was spotless and such attention to detail was appreciated. Thank you also for the welcome flowers, milk & juice.
We hope it won’t be our last visit!

Gem Of A Cottage
We spent a wonderful weekend at the cottage in the Ribble Valley. The location is fantastic, we had magical wintery views across the valley and the surrounding woods and lanes are beautiful. The cottage itself it spotless, so clean everything is like new and stocked with everything you can think of that you would need. The underfloor heating was a treat, you wouldn't have known how cold it was outside. The hosts dropped off a box of toys and books for our 5 year old which was brilliant and kept her entertained and we followed their recommendations for a great walk, the Pendle Sculpture Walk as well as several pub suggestions all of which were fab. Turns out the area is not short of a great country pub! We will definitely be coming back. Thanks for a great stay!

Great Place To Stay
We were made very welcome by Ian, Sue and Anna. We stayed for 5 nights in January in Hodder Cottage while visiting family in Blackburn. Very cozy, warm and clean, great amenities. Fantastic location. We'll be back.

Life Saver!!
We approached Anna, Ian & Sue back in Sept as we sold our house and new build would not be ready until week before Christmas. They kindly agreed a 3 month let of the Calder Cottage. It was a real home from home, facilities were just excellent, it was like living at home and the stress of being homeless was hugely reduced. We have already introduced friends and family to their lovely facilities and our friend from Germany has already stayed and loved it. Facilities and location to the stunning Ribble Valley are perfect. We feel we have made good friends and they were so welcoming. Thanks Anna, Ian & Sue x
