Idyllic
My wife, adult son and I had 5 very enjoyable days in the Hodder Cottage. What a joy it was to stay here.
Ian & Sue, and Anna the Property Manager, were a delight to deal with; they made everything - enquiries, booking, arrival and departure - incredibly easy and ‘seamless’. Northern hospitality at its best!
The cottage was wonderful; positioned in idyllic surrounds, it would have been easy to sit and relax in the perfectly manicured outdoor setting for the entire time, and conclude the day with a BBQ
But we had things to do!
We couldn’t have asked for more - the Cottage was generously & tastefully furnished and we appreciated the nod to high-tech (the management of property features, TV accessories and slick property entry and exit). The kitchen had everything we needed for a self sufficient stay and appreciated the high quality appliances and generous stock of utensils.
Couldn’t rate our stay more highly and would unreservedly recommend to any family, friend or colleague planning to stay in the region.

Calder Cottage
Just returned from 4 nights stay in Calder cottage and can wholeheartedly recommend these cottages. In such a beautiful area of Lancashire, so peaceful, the cottages have everything you need and are pristine clean. As hosts, it is easy to see that Sue & Ian have a lot of pride in the cottages. We will certainly be back. Thank you Sue & Ian.

Wonderful Cottages
This was our second visit to Oakdean cottages; the first time in Hodder cottage and this time in Ribble cottage. Both cottages are immaculately kept with everything in them needed for a comfortable stay. Sue and Ian are both friendly and they made sure we had everything we needed. The location of the cottages is just beautiful, being out in the country with lovely views, yet convenient for us visiting family in Blackburn.

Lovely Cottage
Our first visit to Calder cottage and hope to return. The cottage is beautiful and so clean we were very impressed by our experience staying there. The property is very well equipped and has a decent patio area with table and chairs plus an umbrella , patio doors open out from the sitting room onto the patio. We decided to sleep in the smaller bedroom with twin beds as thought it would be cooler as the weather was so hot. The beds were very comfortable and certainly suitable for adults. Ian and Sue were so helpful, we would recommend staying here , just perfect.

Five Star Stay In A Beautiful Cottage
We have just returned from Ribble Cottage after a five night stay. The cottage was in a immaculate condition and within minutes of glorious countryside. The hosts, Sue and Ian are a lovely couple, who clearly take great pride in their cottage/s and maintain them to the highest of standards. There is very little in the cottage that hasn’t been catered for. We took up friends from Amersham, who initially were only staying for three nights, but eventually opted to stay a fourth - such was their enjoyment of their stay. You are surrounded by rolling countryside and there is a pub just minutes walk away. All in all, this is a fabulous place to stay. I would highly recommend.

An Excellent Cottage And Super Cottages
We stayed in Hodder Cottage for a long weekend whilst celebrating a wedding nearby. The cottage was very comfortable and practical - we were delighted. There were lots of nice touches - the welcome pack and games and activities for the family. The cottage is modern and well designed. The garden pretty and with a summer house too. Sue and Ian were really friendly and helpful. The area is set in attractive countryside. All in all, a great place to stay.

A wonderful cottage on top of the hill, quiet tranquil and beautiful place to stay. Ian and Sue are lovely - there if you need them otherwise they respect your personal space and leave you to it. Truly lovely hosts . We will definitely be back
